"There are no facts, only interpretations"

-Friedrich Nietzsche

Good Morning,

I found myself rereading this quote and changing my mind about whether I agreed with Nietzsche...

How does this quote resonate with you?

Think about this for a moment. What are you thoughts..?

Assuming one agrees with Nietzsche, my interpretation is this way of thinking would create a culture of acceptance, curiosity, and understanding, and far less judgement... Not a bad deal.

Question: How judgmental are you?

In reading A Year of Living Consciously, Gay Hendricks gives a powerful illustration of an employee who was castigated by their boss publicly that brilliantly tests this way of thinking. Please Note: The content of the employee's reprimand was accurate and deserved.

If you were the employee what would you do?

...you did something wrong and your boss publicly gave you a severe tongue lashing...

Are you entitled to be surrounded by people who treat you really well... that are unfailing kind?

...I'd love to hear your thoughts... Take a deep breath and come up with an answer before you read on...

Hendricks states, "Absolutely not"

Reminder to us all that you can't control other people's behavior. What you can control however is:

1. How you respond.. your choice

2. What you will tolerate... up to you

...Something to think about for sure...

Today's Kindness Challenge: Listen wholeheartedly to others without judging them.

-Kindness matters... Be kind always

-You can only control how you respond and what you will tolerate

-Be curious about what makes others tick

Desmund Tutu said: "Do a little bit of good where you are; those little bits together overwhelm the world." Let's be intentional and watch what happens.

You got this!
