LEADERS: What does COMMITMENT mean to you?
Give that some serious thought...
To the boxer- getting up one more time than you’ve been knocked down
To the marathoner- running another ten miles when your strength is gone
To the soldier- going over one more hill, not knowing what’s on the other side
To the missionary- saying good-bye to your own comfort to make life better for others.
To the LEADER- it’s all the above and more because everyone you lead is depending on you. If you want to be an effective leader you have to be committed:
TRUE COMMITMENT:
-is usually discovered amid adversity
- does not depend on gifts or abilities
-comes as the result of choice, not conditions
-lasts when it’s based on values
-it’s a character quality that enables each of us to reach our goals.
Sometimes we think we are committed to something, yet our actions indicate otherwise...
How will you measure your level of commitment?
What are your actions saying about you?
I challenge you to commit to yourself. Take the time to reflect and do some soul searching... You are worth it!
What area of your personal/professional life you’ve been neglecting?
What is something you need to (re)commit to?
What’s your plan?
You got this!
