Tuesday's Talk

Tavia Robinson

“We awaken by asking the right questions. We awaken when we see knowledge being spread that goes against our own personal experiences. We awaken when we see popular opinion being wrong but accepted as being right, and what is right being pushed as being wrong. We awaken by seeking answers in corners that are not popular. And we awaken by turning on the light inside when everything outside feels dark.” -Suzy Kassem

How do the words above resonate with you?

Pause here and free yourself from distractions:

Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...

What questions are you asking? Think about t for a moment...

What are you curious about? Spend some time here...

The business of life can often dull our senses. We don't make time to connect with people, exchange words beyond the polite, "Good Morning" or "Thank you." Thought provoking questions are designed to inspire self-discovery, empowerment, happiness and the missing connection with others.

Today’s Challenge: Be curious and start the conversation:

  • Make time to connect

  • Have some fun with family, friends, or co-workers.

  • Provide a safe space where everyone present feels welcome and heard

  • Use the questions below to start the conversation:

1. “Know thyself” is an ancient concept going back much further than Socrates and is at the root of much of philosophy. With that in mind, what are the most important things to learn about one’s self or is all self-knowledge equal?

2. What two questions would you ask to get the most information about who a person truly is?

3. What do you think your future self will remember about you now?

4. What activities cause you to feel like you are living life to the fullest?

5. What are you capable of achieving?

“Conversation isn't about proving a point; true conversation is about going on a journey with the people you are speaking with.” -Ricky Maye

What are you willing to do to enhance your journey?

Don’t miss your opportunity. Be intentional. Encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.

You got this!
