“Save the excuses. It’s not about having the time; it’s about making the time. If it matters you will make the time.”

How do the words above resonate with you?
Pause here for a moment and free yourself from distractions:
Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...
What matters most..? Think about that for a minute... How do you answer that question...?
Gay Hendricks, Psychologist, writer, and teacher in the field of personal growth and relationships, shares this thought: from A Year of Living Consciously...
How peculiar that we can go though a day on this planet... without pausing to wonder if we are focusing on what matters most.
What have you been focusing on these days? Be honest... don't overthink it...
"Create time and space to listen to your heart and soul. Then you’ll know what matters most." -Author Unknown
It’s not a question most of us take time to think about. The business of life kicks in, priorities take over, the list is endless. If you are ready to lean in to living a more purposeful life, take a look at the following suggestions to help you get started:
Knowing What Matters to You Instead of Living by Default:
by Steve Spring tinybuddah.com
1. Determine your priorities: Think about what you want most out of life.
What were you created for?
What is your mission in life?
What is your passion?
You were put on this earth for a reason, and knowing that reason will help you determine your priorities.
2. Create a plan: Create a plan to get from where you are today to where you want to be.
Where are you?
Maybe you need a new job. Maybe you need to go back to school. Maybe you need to deal with some relationship issues...
Where do you want to be?
Create a plan that will get you to where you want to be.
3. Focus on now: Stop multitasking and focus on one thing at a time!
It may be a project at work.
It may be a conversation with your best friend.
It may just be the book that you have wanted to read for months.
The key is to focus on one thing at a time.
How can you be more present?
Just say no: We all have too much to do and too little time. The only way that you are going to find the time for the things that really matter is to say no to the things that don’t.
What will you say no to today?
Now ask yourself:
What matters most to me in my life?
“The things that matter most must never be at the mercy of the things that matter least.”
-Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
What are you willing to do?
Don’t miss your opportunity! Be intentional, encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.
You got this!
