“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
-Carl Jung
Good Morning,
Have ever asked yourself, why does (fill in the blank with a human) irritate me so much?
Think about that for a moment...
...they don’t have to say anything... the mention of their name... or their mere presence immediately gets under your skin...
Interesting right? The actual “why”, if we take the time to figure it out, will often reveal valuable information about our selves.
Self-awareness, is the conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires.
Self Awareness is having a clear perception of your personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions.
Self Awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in the moment.
Self awareness is important because when we have a better understanding of ourselves, we are able to experience ourselves as unique and separate individuals. We are then empowered to make changes and to build on our areas of strength as well as identify areas where we would like to make improvements.
What will you take away from this?
Take time today to reflect on your behavior:
What got under your skin... why?
How did you react?
How do you perceive yourself?
How do others perceive you?
Ask yourself: What can I learn from observing my behavior today?
Be sure to ask someone that you look up to and trust for honest feedback ...sugar coated comments will do you absolutely no good.
#selfawareness, #responsibility, #leadbyexample, #trustyourself, #learneandgrow, #shareyourgifts, #befearless, #justdoit, #begreat, #embraceyouruniqueness,
You got this!
