“We must remember that one determined person can make a significant difference, and that a small group of determined people can change the course of history.”
-Sonia Johnson
How do the words above resonate with you?
Pause here and free yourself from distractions:
Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...
How determined are you? Think about that for a moment...
Day 2 of Kwanzaa:
Kujichagulia or self-determination.
The essence of this principle is the ability to define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves.
Tomorrow is not promised. I challenge you to continue the fight.:
Fight in the name of those who unfortunately didn’t make it.
Fight for the youth our children who we share this earth with.
Fight for what’s right.
Fight to put an end to systemic racism, inequality, and racial oppression.
Together, let’s make history, and create today, a world that is better than it was yesterday.
“Let us with one determination create in our minds today the conditions of the next 50 years.” -Marcus Garvey
What are you willing to do to change the narrative? We can all do something... Your choice...
Don’t miss your opportunity. Be intentional. Encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.
You got this!
