“The fastest way to bring more wonderful examples of abundance into your personal experience is to take constant notice of the wonderful things that are already there.” Esther Hicks

How do the words above resonate with you?

Pause here for a moment and free yourself from distractions:

Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...

The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday opens the door to many different emotions. Some positive, others painful. The climate as become so politically charged making it difficult to maintain a peaceful existence. Don’t give up! This is the perfect time to let gratitude to remind us all of what we have and the power each of us own to share our gifts, and thank others for the many ways they have contributed to our happiness.

The Huffington Post shares a simple formula: (by Brianna Smalley huffpost.com)

It's a simple formula that will transform your life. Say it out loud, write it down, think it, feel it, breathe it. Gratitude. Come from a place of thankfulness every step you take. Stop focusing on the problems, focus on the solution. And the solution is simple; I already gave it to you.

In this very moment, big or small, what are you thankful for? "...Come from a place of thankfulness every step you take..."

"Giving thanks makes you happier," says the researchers at Harvard Medical School: (health.harvard.edu)

In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. Gratitude helps people refocus on what they have instead of what they lack.

"Why are you so enchanted by the world, when a mine of gold lies within you? -Rumi

Here are some ways to cultivate gratitude on a regular basis:(health.harvard.edu)

1. Write a thank-you note. You can make yourself happier and nurture your relationship with another person by writing a thank-you letter or email expressing your enjoyment and appreciation of that person's impact on your life.

2. Thank someone mentally. No time to write? It may help just to think about someone who has done something nice for you, and mentally thank the individual

3. Keep a gratitude journal. Make it a habit to write down or share with a loved one thoughts about the gifts you've received each day.

4. Count your blessings. Pick a time every week to sit down and write about your blessings — reflecting on what went right or what you are grateful for. Sometimes it helps to pick a number — such as three to five things — that you will identify each week. As you write, be specific and think about the sensations you felt when something good happened to you.

5. Pray. People who are religious can use prayer to cultivate gratitude.

6. Meditate. Mindfulness meditation involves focusing on the present moment without judgment. Although people often focus on a word or phrase (such as "peace"), it is also possible to focus on what you're grateful for (the warmth of the sun, a pleasant sound, etc.).

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” Eckhart Tolle

Now, what’s your plan... what are you willing to do?

Don’t miss your opportunity. Be intentional. Encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.

You got this!
