How do the words above resonate with you?
Pause here for a moment and free yourself from distractions:
Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...
Teachers are hero’s in my book... hands down make no mistake about it. At this time of returning to work and back to school, teachers want to deliver quality instruction to their students and are doing the best they can under a variety circumstances, most of which are out of their control:
some working from home...
some return to their school buildings...
most virtual, some in person...
learning new curriculum,
dealing with technology challenges,
assisting and helping students with their technology trouble
district documentation and other pressures
These are just a few I mention....
How are you supporting the teachers in your circle?
This message today is to remind teachers everywhere, as you advocate for children, also be good to yourselves. Practice self-care, support one another and remind your colleagues to do the same.
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." --Phil Jackson
