Meaningful Monday

Coach Tavia

“Trust that you’ve done enough. Learn to leave yourself alone.”

How do the words above resonate with you?

Pause here for a minute and free yourself from distractions:

Close your eyes and be still. Focus on your breath:

For sixty seconds, leave yourself alone. Take a break from wanting, doing, wishing, judging. Take a break even from accepting yourself. Just let yourself alone.

Do you ever feel like you’ve been circling the same mountain for too long? We tend to spend so much time suffering, struggling, sacrificing, settling, wishing and wanting... We judge ourselves by accomplishments, check off lists, and a collection of things by denying ourselves time. We rarely allow ourselves to simply enjoy life because we’re on the the next thing.

An article on Wordpress.com offered this interesting insight:

*We often find ourselves in situations where we feel it is wise to leave another alone. We understand what it means to smother and suffocate another human being. We know what it is to overwhelm someone. We know what it is to give them space and time. We know what it is to have to see someone in doses. We have all these phrases that elaborate on our need to put time and distance between ourselves and another.
Regretfully, we do not have such a powerful and profound understanding of how to do this with ourselves.

*How can you give yourself the same time and distance?

Think about that for a moment...

**What would happen if you just let your mind be?

Try is... Just be still... and quiet...

** What would happen if you just let yourself think what you think, with no attempt to edit, squelch, or control?

This may be harder than you think... but why..?

** would happen if you let yourself feel whatever you feel?

no reaction, just sit with it for a moment...

“The point of power is always in the present moment.”

-Louise Hay

I Challenge You Today:

  • Set some personal boundaries. Learn to say no without regret.

  • Slow down and take a minimum of 60 seconds to celebrate your accomplishments before you move to the next. It’s okay to stop for a moment and rest.

  • Stop the glorification of busy: Be okay with not always being in battle with yourself and efficiently powering through life to be productive.

  • Be vulnerable and surrender. Give yourself permission to admit you’re not perfect.

  • Commit to a 60 second focused meditation as soon as the feeling of overwhelm surfaces.

“Trust that you’ve done enough. Learn to leave yourself alone.”

There's power in leaving yourself alone! Don’t miss your opportunity! Be intentional, encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.

You got this!
