“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
-Rob Siltanen
How do Siltanen's words above resonate with you?
Pause here for a moment and free yourself from distractions:
Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...
Who’s your favorite crazy, misfit, rebel, trouble maker... does anyone come to mind?
...think out of the box a bit, who is someone you can't ignore...
This pandemic has brought out human selfishness but also human kindness. It has proven the world to be very small and more interconnected then we might have realized. It has tested leadership at every level as well as people’s character. And highlighted how profoundly interdependent we are, and how thoroughly we need one another. If you take time to reflect there are many positives and powerful lessons evolving from this tragedy...
I hope these questions will inspire more self-discovery, empowerment and some happiness today:
1. What are you grateful for today?
Cultivate a daily gratitude practice. Take two minutes to make a list... add to it throughout the day...
2. Who are you checking in on, or connecting with, today?
Implement social solidarity. Pick three people each day to check in on. Consider making this a regular habit,
3. What expectations of “normal” are you letting go of today? ...Figure out what is actually important to you in this moment and focus on that. “The only lasting truth is Change.” The faster we let go of expectations of “normal,” the faster we adapt. -Science fiction novelist, Octavia Butler.
4. How are you getting outside today?
Nature, fresh air, and sunshine are good for our nervous systems. Take a walk, stand in the sun for 10 minutes... if you can't get out, open a window...

Get moving... make it fun, not a chore... be creative... walk around the block, run the stairs, do some push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, Get your family involved
6. What beauty are you creating, cultivating, or inviting in today?
Grace Lee Boggs, the late philosopher and social activist said, “a revolution that is based on people exercising creativity in the midst of devastation is one of the great historical contributions of mankind.” So let’s create a culture to survive the hard times wherever and however we can.

There's a lesson in everything... what have you learned...
Gratitude, social solidarity, connection, relationships, creativity, self-awareness, empowerment, innovation.... What if i told you you have the power to create a culture that can survive the hard times... what would you do today if you knew you would not fail?
