"Drama is very important in life: You have to come on with a bang. You never want to go out with a whimper."
- Julia Child
How do the words above resonate with you?
Pause here and free yourself from distractions:
Take a deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... deep breath in... exhale slowly... calm your mind and be present...
Do you remember Julia Child? She was an American cooking teacher, author, and television personality. She is recognized for bringing French cuisine to the American public with her debut cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and her subsequent television programs, the most notable of which was The French Chef, which premiered in 1963. Quite a character she was. I can hear her voice as I read the quote above.
Drama can often have a negative connotation. But here, Julia Child’s words appear to inspire us to live authentically and unapologetically. Quite positive, in my opinion.
I challenge you to be curious as you continue to learn and grow through life’s journey. How would you answer the following questions? Spend some time here... exercise your brain:
1. What does it mean to live a good life?
...how would you put it into words...think about it...
2. What should be the goal of humanity?
...interesting and unexpected question to ponder...hhuumm...
3. Why do we judge ourselves by our intentions but judge others by their actions?
...so true when I thought about it, but why....
4. What do you attribute the biggest successes in your life to? How about your largest failures? ...please share... your story may encourage others to succeed and never give up...
5. What is the best way for a person to attain happiness?
...so much to say here....how would you articulate an answer....?
6. What two questions would you ask to get the most information about who a person truly is? ... only two (2) questions to elicit the most information... interested in what people come up with...
Think about it... share, learn, and connect with others... spark some interesting maybe even philosophical conversations.
Most of all, free yourself to have fun! It’s Friday. Be intentional, encourage others to do the same and watch what happens.
How will you live out loud today?
...be dramatic!
You got this!
