Take a deep breath and reread the above quote. Think about it for a moment... How do Dylan's words resonate with you...?
I know there is a hero in all of us. The challenge is to be confident and fearless enough to accept responsibility.
Look at the word responsibility- "response-ability" the ability to choose your response.
Highly proactive people recognize that responsibility. They don't blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. Their behavior is a product of their own conscious choice, based on values, rather than a product of their conditions, based on feelings. (Stephen Covey' "7 Habits of Highly Effective People")
How proactive are you with accepting responsibility for yourself?

How healthy is your level of responsibility?

Healthy responsibility is defined as taking 100 percent responsibility for yourself while inspiring others to take 100 percent responsibility.
Gay Hendricks describes these Unhealthy Characters in his book Conscious living::
“The Martyr”- takes on the burden of someone else’s responsibility
“The Blamer”- places responsibility on somebody else’s shoulders
“The Victim”- the condition of perceiving oneself as less than 100 percent responsible
“The Caretaker”- the condition of perceiving oneself as more than 100 percent responsible
Which character best describes a part of your personality, that you would like to lay to rest?
Think about it... You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge...
I challenge you to get rid of that unhealthy character. We are all works in progress.
